Hallo zusammen,
Gerhard

:"I recently installed a new top and ran into a small problem. I had purchased the used top frame and did not know that the header rail boss threads were stripped. When I checked the threads on the wing bolts I found that they were an odd thread (5/16 - 22). I then went looking for a helicoil that size and found that it was a special order item as the thread is not that common here in the U.S. I visited Action Bolt here in West Palm Beach and not only did they know how to vote correctly (hee hee) but they could order the helicoil kit for me. FYI, the name of the manufacture is RECOIL (made down under) and the size is BSF 5/16 - 22. Part number 30050. It comes with 10 coils, a tap for new threads, a tool for inserting the coil etc. The only thing else you will need is a drill bit (size 21/64) to drill out the old boss. I completed the whole job in less than 15 minutes and now my wing nuts screw in perfectly.
Hope this will help someone else with the same problem.
Joe"

Hallo Simon,

BA findet man ja etliche, gerade beim Lucas.
Gruss
Volker
