Liebe MG Historiker/innen,

Only that it's two ex works cars having a battle! I cant make out whether the first is DRX 255C (Le Mans car) or BRX 854B (Rally car). The second is 8 DBL, a works rally car.

und David sagte:

Looks like John Rhodes autograph.

Peter Cresswell schreibt:

The only occasion I can find when 8DBL ran as No. 28 was the 1965 Guards 1000 held at Brands Hatch. It was driven by John Rhodes and Warwick Banks. The race was held over 2 days, with 500 miles on each day. Overnight cars were allowed to be removed from the circuit for repairs! The Rhodes/Banks car won the first race and went on to win outright. This wasn't an official Works entry as it was for privateers, and perhaps this explains the black hard top with no roof vent, and it was prepared and entered by Don Moore who had close associations with the Works.
Ot appears a second MGB was entered by Trevor and Anita Taylor, and this might have been a loan car from Abingdon. I think this is the other MGB (No.30) in the photo.

Stephan Pröbsting:
The Anita and Trevor Taylor #30 MGB was BRX 853B. Brands Hatch 1965 Guards 1000.

Thanks to all of you, guys!
In the meantime I could find a signature of John Rhodes and could prove the autograph by comparing.
