MG HS – Continuous beeping when reverse gear is engaged, regardless of surroundings

Hi everyone,
I have an MG HS and recently started having an odd issue. Every time I shift into reverse, there's a constant beeping sound. It’s not the usual parking sensor beeping – this is a steady, uninterrupted tone that starts as soon as I engage reverse and stays on the whole time, no matter what's behind the car.

My seatbelt is fastened, all doors are properly closed, and the reverse camera and parking sensors seem to work. But the beeping makes reversing really annoying and feels like something's wrong.

Has anyone experienced this or knows what could be causing it? Any advice would be much appreciated!

A continuous tone from PDC sensors usually indicates a fault with one of the sensors.

Hello stranger,
the video shows the rear seat occupancy indicator.
The owner's manual states: If this light is lit or flashing, it indicates that the seatbelt for an occupied seat is not fastened.

This may also be accompanied by an audio signal. Try removing everything from the back seat or fastening all seatbelts.

Maybe that's enough.
